A native of New Mexico, Georgia Gramlich was born and raised in Hatch. While attending New Mexico State University, Georgia was employed by Citizens Bank Las Cruces. It was during this employment she realized she wanted to pursue a career in the banking. Georgia holds degrees from Western States School of Banking and Southwest Graduate School of Banking.
Initially starting her career as a Teller, Georgia has held many positions in the banking industry over the last thirty-five years. Because of her knowledge, experience, and willingness to learn, Georgia has been able to attain the position of Senior Vice President and Division Manager for Bank of the Southwest. For the last twelve years, Georgia has been the Division Manager of the Farmington area, as well as Commercial Loan Officer. Initially starting with two branches, Georgia has been responsible for opening two additional branches in this division.
Georgia took five years away from her banking career to assist her husband in their family owned business. The business was an agriculture supply business, catering to the needs of their community in Hatch, New Mexico. This enabled her to learn firsthand, not only the joys, but also the trials and demands of being a small business owner. This experience enables Georgia to relate very well with small business owners today. She understands the needs of small business owners and when combined with her education and experience she is able to assist these owners in reaching their goals. Georgia always puts what is best for the customer first. She strongly believes that what is best for the customer, in the end will be what is best for the bank.
Georgia has a passion for helping others succeed. She is always willing to take the time to share her knowledge with business owners, employees, coworkers, students and friends.
On a personal note, Georgia is married to Owen Gramlich, who is employed by Baker Hughes. Even with her success in the banking industry, Georgia feels that her greatest personal accomplishment is her two children. Her son, Joseph, works in the oilfield industry near Odessa Texas, while her daughter, Daphne, is a scenic artist in the theater industry, residing in New York City. She is proud of her children for their accomplishments, work ethic and their financial stability. This further shows that Georgia instilled in her children the same advice she gives to her customers.
