Electric providers vary depending on the location of the property within San Juan County, New Mexico.

The City of Aztec provides electric service within most of Aztec’s city limits. Areas in Aztec city limits outside of the city utility service area are covered by the City of Farmington’s Utilities.

Service Area

The City of Farmington provides electric service for locations within Farmington and Bloomfield city limits and all of San Juan County, New Mexico east of the Navajo Nation reservation. The service area includes the communities of Archuleta, Blanco, Cedar Hill, Flora Vista, Fruitland, Kirtland, La Plata, Turley, Waterflow, and El Huerfano.

City of Farmington Utilities

The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) provides service to the portion of the Navajo Nation located in San Juan County, New Mexico, excluding El Huerfano and Nageezi. Solar Photovoltaic power service is also available to residents of the Navajo Nation who enter into a Solar Photovoltaic Agreement.

Electric service for Nageezi, New Mexico is provided by the Jemez Mountain Electric Cooperative, Inc.   All other areas of the Navajo Nation in San Juan County, New Mexico except El Huerfano are serviced by Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA).
