John Thompson earned his BS in Geological Engineering from New Mexico State University, in 1991. With more than 35 years of oilfield experience, Thompson is currently the President & Engineering Manager of Walsh Engineering and Production Corp, a full-service consulting company that provides engineering, well site supervision, lease operations (pumping), regulatory and environmental compliance services and production accounting services in the San Juan Basin. Walsh Engineering has been in business for over 50 years and currently is responsible for over 1450 active wells in the basin.
